Prototype design, production and presentation
The design of the watch, incorporating the Memori complication, is the fruit of much thought, research and refinement. Every detail has been meticulously thought out and worked on, with constant attention to quality and aesthetics. This model embodies my commitment to creating unique pieces that combine art and technique.
Mechanically, I designed this watch to be as durable and easy to maintain as possible, since it's made to be worn every day.
The caliber used as the basis for the complication, the Unitas 6497, has the advantage of being familiar to all watchmakers.
In fact, it's often the first mechanism on which a young watchmaker learns the basics, due to its size and simplicity. It has the reputation of being extremely reliable and robust, with spare parts readily available and still in production by the manufacturer and by some independent watchmakers, many of whom also use it as the basis for their creations.

The manufacture of the mechanical parts making up the complication is based on long hours of machining, research and testing.
The complication comprises 62 parts, all made in my workshop apart from the rubies. All gear teeth are cut with Schaublin 70, and each profile requires the design of a custom carbide cutter. All screws are hand-made. The case and certain shaped parts are machined on both CNC and conventional machines.
The first prototype of this watch thus marks the culmination of several years of work and learning to validate its operation and grasp the specific difficulties involved in manufacturing each component. A first limited prototype series of 5 watches will see the light of day in 2026/7, then I hope a series following demand, offering every enthusiast the opportunity to own a unique horological complication.
